Last week, we turned our animal scientist attention to snails, observing the bodies and behaviors of land snails. We conducted two fair tests to answer the questions, What do most land snails eat? and, Do more snails crawl on rough or smooth surfaces? and used our Science writing to record our data and observations. We also practiced using our patience, the character trait we will focus on for the month of April. This coming week, we will wrap up our animal Science kit by looking at and comparing the bodies and behaviors of red worms and night crawlers. We will also be wrapping up our Zones of Regulation study by graphing the zones we move through during the school day. On Friday, students will be bringing home all of this great writing, along with their 2nd trimester progress report. Their science writing will be posted on their e-folios soon. | |
